Teaching Philosophy
- As an educator in the field of Human Resource Management and General Management, my teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that management education must bridge theory and practice while shaping responsible, reflective, and adaptive leaders. I view teaching not merely as the transfer of knowledge but as a process of facilitating critical thinking, ethical awareness, and lifelong learning among students.
- I believe that students learn best through active engagement and experiential learning. Therefore, I design my courses to go beyond traditional lectures by integrating case studies, simulations, role plays, group projects, and industry interactions. This approach helps students connect conceptual frameworks with real-world managerial challenges and understand how HR and general management principles apply in diverse organizational contexts.
- In the domain of Human Resource Management, I emphasize the importance of developing empathy, cultural intelligence, and ethical decision-making, as these qualities form the foundation of effective people management. In General Management, I encourage students to cultivate a strategic mindset—to analyze situations holistically, make data-driven decisions, and manage complexity in dynamic business environments.
- I see my classroom as a collaborative learning community. I encourage open dialogue, mutual respect, and inclusivity, where each student’s experience and perspective add value to the collective learning process. I make it a point to mentor students individually, helping them align academic learning with their career aspirations and personal growth.
- Assessment, in my view, should measure not just knowledge retention but also the ability to apply, analyze, and innovate. Hence, I employ a variety of assessment tools ranging from reflective journals and live projects to presentations and analytical papers to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of learning outcomes.
- Ultimately, my goal as an educator is to inspire students to think critically, act ethically, and lead effectively. I strive to create a learning environment that empowers them to become competent professionals, compassionate leaders, and contributors to sustainable organizational and societal development.
