ASBM Library services and privileges are designed for faculty and students to support research and instruction. Our Library aims to serve the needs of faculty, research scholars, and students by providing convenient and user-friendly access to current, and relevant information by acquiring, organizing, and retrieving information in various formats (print & non-print).

The library is located on the 1st floor spread over 450 sq. m area with a seating capacity of 150 students. The library is well furnished and air-conditioned. The Library has an open access system facilitating the free use of material on the shelves. It has a separate Reading Hall with ample capacity. The library has an extensive collection of twelve thousand books covering all aspects of business & management and related areas like Economics, Information technology, Business Law, etc.

Library users can access more than 1000 full-text journals covering titles published sage journals, Indian journals.com, etc. and from the aggregators like EBSCO and J-Gate. Links to various corporate databases like CMIE, TickerPlant are also made available to the users.

An orientation program for new students is organized at the beginning of every academic year which helps all students acquaint themselves with the library system and services – this ensures maximum utilization of the available resources.

Services:

The library is equipped with resources that facilitates finding a topic-specific database for in-depth research. Library is offering following services to its users.

• Circulation

The Circulation Service library is fully automated. The entire collection of the library are bar-coded. Books are issued for a period of one week and if they are not on demand, one can get them re-issued for the second time.

Past Question papers are available in the Library and students can refer to them anytime during the library working hours.

• Reading Room

The library has fully Air-conditioned, Wi-Fi enabled spacious Reading Room on 1st floor. The Reading Room has a capacity of 150 students and is open for 8.00 am to 7.00 pm.

• Reference Service

The professional staff in the library help users to find the information in the library, suggest sources on a topic, help with search terms, or consult with you in other ways to help you find what you need and learn more about how to find information.

• Reprography

Library's Reprography services are fee based and library strictly follows copyright laws while providing this service.

• Membership

The Library provides membership to its regular faculty members, students and staff members.

• User Orientation

User's orientation is provided to new library users such as students and faculty members as and when they join the institute.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Library Timings: Monday to Saturday: 7.30 am to 7.00 pm
  • Library will be closed on Sunday and other government Holidays.
  • All students should have their Photo Identity Card whenever they come to the Library.
  • Students should issue the book on his/her own Library card only.
  • At a time two books will be issued for a period of one week.
  • Once issued book cannot be returned on the same day.
  • Marking on the Books, Journals, and Newspapers is not allowed.
  • Students are requested to refer to Journals, CDs, Files, Project Reports, Question Papers, News Papers & other Reference Materials in the library only. This reading material will not be allowed to take out of the library.
  • Students are requested to return all the books in time. A fine of Rs 5/- per day for ASBM and Rs 20/- for ACA and ACDS will be charged for all the books returned late.
  • Students should keep their mobile switched off or silent as & when they visit the library.
  • A fine of Rs. 100/- will be charged for Mobile Usage in the library.
  • Students should maintain peace in the library and should not disturb other users in any way.

Copyright:

All the online resources, CD-ROMS, Video Cassettes accessible from Library are copyrighted works. Hence, copying, publishing, disseminating, displaying, performing or playing without permission of the copyright holder except in accordance with fair use of licensed agreement is not allowed. The library may terminate the library membership of users who are found to have repeatedly infringed the copyright of others.

Licensing Restrictions:

Electronic resources listed on the website are restricted by license agreement. They should be used only for the purpose of research, teaching, and private study. Commercial use, systematic downloading, copying or distributing of information is prohibited. The users are requested to strictly comply with these terms.
